After spending ten years without stepping foot in my old elementary and high school, I felt the sudden urge to return to the institution I had for so long tried to erase from my memory. As I walked through these familiar hallways and photographed the spaces I once occupied, I began to uncover memories that had been buried, and experiencing them in a new light, allowing for a renewed sense of understanding, consideration, growth, and forgiveness.
