Annisa Burgos (b. 1999) is an analog photographer based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. Her work is motivated by the urgency to record and is dedicated to immortalizing the everyday, or what would otherwise be forgotten. Aware of photography’s relation to memorialization, she is attentive to the ways photographs can contribute to selective remembrance, and can at times come to supplant memories themselves. Burgos is currently concluding her BFA in photography at Concordia University, having previously completed a Bachelors in Sociology. Her work has been exhibited in Montreal and has been published in "Pendant que la nuit demeure un jardin" by Les Éditions du Drame, as well as in the second edition of Ahoy Magazine.
